Changed fuse for rear wiper but air bag sign is on.?

I have a vw polo 2005 1.2 s model.

The rear wiper stopped working so got the fused changed and now find that the air bag sign remains on. it goes off for a second or two and then comes on and remains on.

The garage said may be because the system has still to recognize that the new fuse. The car is only 40 months old.

any ideas?|||The bag sensor has detected a fault, probably because of the fuse being changed, the car will need to be plugged onto a VW computer to have the air bag light put out.

Common fault.|||First off, you need to find a new garage. Changing the fuse for the rear wiper has nothing to do with the air bag light coming on. The light comes on because the %26quot;Prove out%26quot; test has failed and the computer is warning you you won%26#039;t have an air bag in case of an accident. If you live in a state that does inspections, that%26#039;s an automatic fail. Take it in to VW and get it fixed.|||The drivers seat has probably been pulled right back and disturbed the plugs and wires for the seat belt pre-tensioner.

Try unplugging and re-seating the plugs.
