I've changed the fuse but when I try to put my charger or lighter in, it won't charge or light the lighter. Any suggestions on how to change the outlet?

the back part of it screws off and that separates the two parts,disconnect the wire from it and the one you buy for a replacement will go in exactly like the old one came out,be sure and hook the ground wire back up on it or else it wont work right,it may just be the ground wire that's loose on it now,that may be all that's wrong with it,good luck.
