My radiator fans will not turn on, making engine overheat. I have changed fuses and actually replaced the fan?

I have replaced fuses and fan assembly. It's a 1999 Dodge Intrepid. A/C doesn't work either and A/C fan doesn't kick on.

Sounds like the temperature sensor is not functioning. The fan only comes on when the temp gets to a certain point.

I would take a guess and say it may be a relay( or more than one even) - see if there's an auto shop near you to diagnose it...might save headache and $$$
There could be a number of problems, wiring problem, sensor failure, computer problems also a possibility
Hi, Everyone is on the right track but hasn't explained how it works. Power comes from the battery thru a fusible link to a fuse box to a relay to the fan. The signal comes from the AC relay which turns a fan on regardless of engine temp with AC. Otherwise it comes from the coolant Temperature Sensor (CTS) thru a relay to a fan when the engine reaches a certain temp. If you don't have power to either it is either a power relay they both use or a fusible link. A test light will tell you which it is. Good luck..Geo
