Does anyone know where the fuse panel is on a Ford Cougar 1998-2002?

I needs to locate it in order to change the fuse to work the heated seats and i am having a hard time locating it. I have read the user manual by the way and its very unclear to where it actually is!

The fuse panel is located to the left of the steering column underneath the dash. You may have to remove a trim panel at the bottom of the dashboard to access it. Additionally, there is another fuse panel inside the engine compartment on the fender well, right beside the battery. It will look like a black rectangular box. It says %26quot;fuses%26quot; on it, but may be difficult to read if you have not cleaned your engine bay recently. the heated seat fuse will be in the one under the dashboard. Once you replace it though, you will have to figure out why the fuse blew in the first place. Never replace a fuse with a bigger one or jump the fuse with wire. You could burn up other car components, or melt some wires or even set the car on fire.
